It’s nearly that time again! We are currently less than two weeks away from everyone’s favorite music holiday – Record Store Day!!  The Groove is very excited to announce our festivities for the day, as we celebrate with independent record stores across the nation and abroad!!

Our doors will open at 10am sharp on Saturday, April 20th to hundreds of limited edition RSD-exclusive releases.  Please note – in an effort to be fair to all customers – all RSD releases will be first come, first served, no RSD titles may be put on hold, and all RSD titles are limited to (1) one copy of any given title per customer.  Many of this years releases are extremely limited and this effort helps ensure that others may also get items on their list…

  This year our backyard stage will kick off at 11:30 with an amazing list of performers including DeRobert & The Half-Truths, Tristen, Forget Cassettes, Cooper, Penicillin Baby, Western Medication, Chrome Pony and more to come!

We will also have a special meet-n-greet with Sam Fogarino (Interpol) and Duane Denison (Jesus Lizard, Tomahawk) of EmptyMansions - whose album “Snakes / Vultures / Sulfate” will be available for purchase on RSD!!

 Sam Fogarino will also be sticking around to spin some records that afternoon…  Other guest DJs for the day will include Chris Crofton, Derek Hoke and GED Soul Records!

  Outside, we’ll also be having a huge side-walk sale with tons of LP’s, 12″s & CD’s- all marked at $1 or less!! In addition, we’ll also have a store-wide sale – with everything at 15% off all day long! (*excluding RSD titles and consignment items)

 Newly-founded Eastside bakery, Yeast Nashville, will be setting up bright and early that morning — from 6am – 9am — to accommodate everyone waiting in line with delicious Kolach pastries and coffee…

Mas Tacos will be on site throughout the day — offering breakfast tacos(!!) starting at 10am, with delicious lunch fare to follow…  Our friends and neighbors at Porter Road Butcher will also be grilling out… plus, there will be delicious adult beverages available to wash it all down (21+ of course)

Throughout the day, local artists from Workforce Rebellion, TM, & AM7 will again be joining us to create another incredible 170-foot wall mural behind the shop!!

We will also have pop-up shops from GED Soul Records, Jeffery Drag Records, Tucker & Bloom and more to come!!

 As always, we’ll have tons of free RSD swag, raffles and giveaways throughout the day – including autographed items, concert tickets and lots of other cool stuff.
